Who is Nick Taylor?
Nick is an Australian-born Writer, Director, Producer and VFX Artist living in Los Angeles, California. He is half-Persian, half-American and half-Filmmaker. He's loved films since he saw Batman (1989) in theaters at the age of three.
His credits range from James Cameron's 'Avatar: The Way of Water' (2022) and 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' (2025), to his short films 'Madness' (2021), 'Mir' (2022), 'Good Night Sleep' (2023), 'Carry On' (2024) and the upcoming 'Not on the First Date' (2025). He makes a new short film every year.

A Veteran of the United States Navy, a husband, father, and dog lover- Nick spends his free time developing new and fresh ideas for original short and feature-length films, as well as reflecting on movies and television shows he's recently watched. His favorite movie is 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' (2013) and his favorite TV show is and will always be 'The Simpsons', at least in its golden years (1989-2007).

Nick works alongside VFX Supervisor Richard Baneham and Director James Cameron at Lightstorm Entertainment as a Virtual Stage Operator on the expanding 'Avatar' franchise and is a writer for the filmmaking website CineD.com. He is an alumnus of the Digital Cinematography program at Full Sail University.

He has written spec scripts for 'Superstore' (NBC), 'Bob's Burgers' (Fox), 'The Twilight Zone' (CBS) as well as multiple feature-length and short film screenplays. His body of work continues to expand as he makes new short films every year. Anything else you want to know, just ask!
